Instore Sound covers the mechanical copying, AMCO's and ARIA, of music tracks within the music systems. It is the responsibly of the Instore Sound Dealer to ensure they or their client(s) cover the broadcasting fees, APRA and PPCA, within the business area broadcasting the commercial music.


APRA
You will need to fill out and fax back to APRA one of these applications for every music system you install.

The IS2000 system falls under the Tier 2 category on the APRA licensing forms.

PPCA
The first step with PPCA is to register your business and apply for your first licence. Once you have been granted this you can simply email through each new customer stating the correct Tariff and appropriate details.

Each PPCA Tariff has its own calculated rates which you will need to determine for each business the IS2000 is installed into. Below is the rates for Tariff M (Commercial or Professional Premises).

Note: PPCA will have the right to increase tariffs annually on and from 1 July in each year in line with movement in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) since the last review/increase date.
